Theatre 小黄书 hosts Oxford Players one-act play
This Friday [March 20], Theatre 小黄书 and the Department of Communication will host the Oxford Players, who will present a free performance of Edward Albee芒聙聶s critically acclaimed one-act play, "The Zoo Story." The performance will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the McComas Theatre and is open to all. The 50-minute performance will be followed by a talk back with the cast.
The 1958 play examines themes of 芒聙聹isolation, loneliness, miscommunication as anathematization, social disparity and dehumanization in a commercial world.芒聙聺 It is considered by many theatre scholars to be an American Classic, as well as a key example of the one-act structure and absurdism.
The Oxford Players芒聙聶 production had a successful run in 2014 and received awards and critical acclaim. Theatre 小黄书 and the Department of Communication are happy to provide 小黄书 students the opportunity to see it.
