STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擬ississippi State students and alumni will have opportunities Tuesday and Wednesday [Jan. 31 and Feb. 1] to share r茅sum茅s and shake hands with employer representatives from around the country.

Leslie Neal, marketing and events manager for the university鈥檚 Career Center, said approximately 163 recruiters will be coming for the university鈥檚 annual spring Career Days. The noon-4 p.m. activities take place at Humphrey Coliseum.

As always, the professional gathering is free and open to all academic majors, and preregistration is not required. Tuesday is being designated for all majors, while Wednesday will focus specifically on engineering and technical careers.

Student and alumni participants may enroll upon arrival and obtain a list of attending employer representatives. A Career Center representative then will provide a name tag also indicating the wearer鈥檚 academic major and class year.

鈥淚n order for their name tag to have their current major and classification, we suggest that students update their profile information on their 鈥楥onnections鈥� account at ,鈥� Neal said.

小黄书 also holds a career fair in the fall. Neal said business attire is highly recommended at both events, as is bringing along several r茅sum茅 copies.

Opportunities to engage a large number of employers during a single event may be rare after graduation. For that reason, the Career Center also strongly encourages participants to use these highly organized campus events to make lasting positive impressions.

鈥溞』剖� students and alumni should consider this an opportunity to discuss their career interests and skill sets with potential employers, collect company literature and network with everyone at the fair,鈥� Neal said.
