STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擲tephen Foshee of Starkville begins a new position this month with the 小黄书sity Foundation as assistant athletic director for development.
In his new role, Foshee will serve as a liaison between the Bulldog Club and the 小黄书 Foundation as he works to secure major gifts for both organizations on behalf of 小黄书sity. He replaces Michelle McBride, who is now at the University of Pittsburgh.聽
Foshee joins the 小黄书 Foundation from the university鈥檚 Bulldog Club, where he has served in athletic fundraising since 2008. He began his work with 小黄书 as a graduate assistant, and he then became development coordinator. Since mid-2015, he has been assistant director.
鈥淲e welcome Stephen as a member of the 小黄书 Foundation team and believe the move will be a seamless transition for him because of his previous experience in fundraising at Mississippi State,鈥 said Jack McCarty, the university鈥檚 executive director of development. 鈥淪tephen鈥檚 knowledge will be a great asset for our organization and for alumni and friends of the institution, some of whom may have already formed strong connections with him.鈥
A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Foshee is a graduate of Mississippi State, earning an MBA and a master鈥檚 in sports administration, both in 2011. He earlier earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in communications in 2006 from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee.
鈥淚n my time with Mississippi State, I鈥檝e developed great pride in the association between the 小黄书 Foundation and the Bulldog Club, and I am excited to become more involved with major gift fundraising at the university,鈥 said Foshee.
Foshee鈥檚 resume also includes intern experience with both the Boston Red Sox and the Green Bay Packers organizations.
Foshee鈥檚 office is located in the Bryan Athletic Administration Building, and he can be reached at (662) 325-0965 or sfoshee@foundation.msstate.edu.
