STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擫ANY, a three-piece alternative band from California, is the concert headliner Saturday [April 1] for Mississippi State鈥檚 2017 Old Main Music Festival.
Organized by student-staffed Music Maker Productions, the free event at the university amphitheater gets underway at 3 p.m. with fun outdoor activities, an art market, offerings by local food vendors and the music of various local artists.
The concert begins at 7 p.m. with lead-in acts Oh Jeremiah and ELEL.
Made up of three friends from Los Angeles, LANY released its first extended-play album, 鈥淎cronyms,鈥 in 2014. Another release, 鈥淚LYSB,鈥 generated such significant fan and corporate interest that a record deal was signed in 2015 with Britain鈥檚 Polydor Records. For more information, see .
Founded in 2012, Oh Jeremiah is the singing/songwriting duo of Jeremiah Stricklin and Erin Raber, formerly of Hattiesburg and now of Athens, Georgia. 鈥淭he Other End of Passing Time鈥 is the married couple鈥檚 debut album. For more, see .
ELEL is an indie-pop group from Nashville, Tennessee, that launched in 2013. A debut single, 鈥40 Watt,鈥 garnered millions of plays and put the seven-member group into national radio rotation, including Alt Nation鈥檚 Top 18.
