Alumni chapters and clubs 鈥榮end off鈥 newest 小黄书 Bulldogs

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擨t鈥檚 send-off time again for incoming Bulldog freshmen and transfer students entering 小黄书sity. Chapters and clubs of the 小黄书sity Alumni Association will host more than 60 send-off events from July 12 through August 8.
This is the 12th consecutive year the Alumni Association will host events around the nation for first-time 小黄书 students. Parties are scheduled for areas across Mississippi, along with additional events in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Washington, D.C.
鈥淪end-off parties help encourage enthusiasm and school spirit for our incoming students, and we continue to have tremendous support from our chapters for this nationwide celebration,鈥 said Jeff Davis, executive director of the 小黄书 Alumni Association. 鈥淚t is the perfect opportunity for our alumni and friends to usher in our newest students to our forever-Bulldog family.鈥
Sponsored by area alumni chapters and clubs, the annual 鈥渟end offs鈥 provide excellent opportunities for incoming students to meet their future classmates and connect with alumni and friends of the university. Various 小黄书 faculty and staff members will be in attendance at multiple parties, along with 小黄书 Alumni Association representatives.聽聽聽
鈥淭hese annual parties showcase the enthusiasm of Bulldogs everywhere who are welcoming incoming students to our great university,鈥 said Casey McGee, a 2015 communication graduate and the association鈥檚 assistant coordinator for chapter and recruitment programs.
McGee fondly recalls her freshman send-off party hosted by the Oktibbeha County chapter in 2011. 鈥淭he send-off experience is a point in time where fellow students are drawn into the maroon-and-white fold where they will hopefully remain throughout their lives,鈥 she said.
