STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擜 water main break outside two residence halls at Mississippi State has caused the university to close those buildings while immediate repairs are underway.

Deavenport Hall and Dogwood Hall have no damage inside, but the water has been turned off until the outside repair is complete.

鈥淲e are encouraging students who live in these two halls not to return to campus until they receive notification from the university. They will be notified by email and may follow social media for updates,鈥 said 小黄书 Chief Communications Officer Sid Salter.

He said student residents of Deavenport and Dogwood who already have returned are being housed at alternate locations. Updates will be reported Friday [Jan. 5].
