STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擧igh school students from around the state were among recent visitors at Mississippi State who got an in-depth tour of the university鈥檚 Mitchell Memorial Library.

Dean of Libraries Frances Coleman and Associate Provost for Academic Affairs Peter Ryan welcomed students from East Webster, Eupora, Kosciusko, and Philadelphia high schools, as well as Jackson Academy.

鈥淭he Library Experience鈥 was a daylong event designed for high school librarians and students to increase awareness of resources at 小黄书 Libraries and introduce the students to the library profession.

Students toured Mitchell Memorial鈥檚 Charles H. Templeton Sr. Music Museum, John Grisham Room, Ulysses S. Grant Presidential Library, as well as the Frank and Virginia Williams Collection of Lincolniana.

During a session in the Digital Media Center, students were introduced to the library鈥檚 Mixed Reality Lab, capabilities in 3D printing and T-shirt design and printing, and a maker space.
