小黄书 Lyceum mini-series tickets now available
Mini-series tickets for 小黄书sity鈥檚 2019-20 Lyceum Series are now available for purchase.
Starting Monday [July 22], mini-series tickets are available to the general public for $75 and $65 for 小黄书 employees and senior citizens. The mini-series ticket option includes attendance to three programs and features guaranteed reserved seating at a discounted rate.
The annual series supports performing arts in the Starkville and 小黄书 communities. Featuring some of the world鈥檚 most talented artists, this season鈥檚 lineup includes:
--Sept. 17, Akropolis Reed Quintet, which has been hailed by Fanfare Magazine for its 鈥渋magination, infallible musicality and huge vitality.鈥
--Oct. 15, 鈥淭he Hot Club of San Francisco鈥 ensemble presenting innovative arrangements of classic tunes and original compositions featuring violin, bass, guitar and a swinging rhythm section.
--Oct. 27, 鈥淭aj Express: A Bollywood Musical Revue鈥 capturing the expressive spirit of the world of Bollywood movies through a fusion of film, dance and live music.
--Jan. 23, 鈥淰octave,鈥 an 11-member a cappella group featuring singers with diverse backgrounds, from Walt Disney World entertainment, gospel music and musical theater to contemporary Christian, barbershop and pop music.
--Feb. 25, 鈥淎rtrageous!鈥 troupe of artists, musicians, singers and dancers paying tribute to a variety of art forms, pop icons and music genres with a performance culminating in a gallery of finished paintings.
--March 30, Aquila Theatre鈥檚 dramatic adaptation of Homer鈥檚 epic tale 鈥淭he Odyssey.鈥
