Corey named 小黄书鈥檚 interim chief human resources officer
STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擫eslie M. Corey, a veteran leader in Mississippi State鈥檚 Human Resources Management department, has been named the university鈥檚 interim chief human resources officer.
小黄书 Provost and Executive Vice President David R. Shaw said Corey鈥檚 leadership 鈥渨ill bring stability and innovation to the university鈥檚 vital human resources activities.鈥
鈥淟eslie鈥檚 years of experience in HRM will enable her to be effective on the first day, and I have great confidence in her ability to take care of our faculty, staff and students,鈥 said Shaw.
Corey has served since 2006 as senior human resources generalist and more recently as deputy director for Human Resources Management at Mississippi State. She holds an 小黄书 bachelor鈥檚 degree in home economics with a minor in business and a Master of Public Policy and Administration.
小黄书鈥檚 nearly 6,000 faculty and staff members make the 142-year-old land-grant institution among the region鈥檚 largest employers. Positive feedback from 小黄书 employees has helped designate the university as a 鈥淕reat College to Work For鈥 by The Chronicle of Higher Education since 2016.
