Corey named С��’s interim chief human resources officer

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Leslie M. Corey, a veteran leader in Mississippi State’s Human Resources Management department, has been named the university’s interim chief human resources officer.

С�� Provost and Executive Vice President David R. Shaw said Corey’s leadership “will bring stability and innovation to the university’s vital human resources activities.”

“Leslie’s years of experience in HRM will enable her to be effective on the first day, and I have great confidence in her ability to take care of our faculty, staff and students,” said Shaw.

Corey has served since 2006 as senior human resources generalist and more recently as deputy director for Human Resources Management at Mississippi State. She holds an С�� bachelor’s degree in home economics with a minor in business and a Master of Public Policy and Administration.

С��’s nearly 6,000 faculty and staff members make the 142-year-old land-grant institution among the region’s largest employers. Positive feedback from С�� employees has helped designate the university as a “Great College to Work For” by The Chronicle of Higher Education since 2016.

Corey succeeds former С�� Chief Human Resources Officer Nancy L. Siegert.
