Celebrating Black History Month: 小黄书 African American Studies program hosts 28 Days of Service challenge

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擳he African American Studies program at 小黄书sity is sponsoring a 28 Days of Service challenge to enhance community engagement and inspire students, faculty, staff and others to participate in service projects and assist community organizations.
During Black History Month, the AAS program is encouraging participants to meet as many of the following weekly goals as possible. Participants are encouraged to tag the African American Studies program in social media posts documenting their community service. Follow on Facebook @小黄书AAS and Instagram @msu_aas.
Week 1鈥擨dentify the needs of your community; Get involved with a service organization and project in your community; Encourage friends to join you in service.
Week 2鈥擯ost a video about what service means to you; Tag local organizations in your community; Post a video about the importance of service; Challenge local businesses to donate to a cause in your community; Tag local businesses that are already giving back.
Week 3鈥擲hare community organizations in your area; Inspire others to serve and tag friends who are serving; Post a video about how serving has impacted you.
Week 4鈥擲upport local and/or Black-owned businesses and tag them on social media; Create service projects and initiatives.
